Local or Corporate
The difference between local and corporate entities, especially in construction, is massive. Local entities understand your home, your values. They often times live right down the road, and have the same issues as you do. This place is their home too.
Local contractors are neighbors and friends- people who want to help out their communities and build them up.
Corporate entities are massive, industry setting complexes of teams and equipment and monetary power. They are also ran like well oiled machines, and that, as much as it sounds contrary to say, is where the problems lie. Companies of that scale are impersonal. They are incapable of being on the ground level with their client base, interacting with you, talking to you, and walking you through the process. Your concerns can and will fall on deaf ears, or unanswered calls and messages.
Industry giants don’t have the time or the need to make sure their smaller clientele are satisfied, knowledgeable, or informed on what is going on. They don’t have the time for you, only for the job at hand.
